Comments
Comments: This is a partial update mainly to provide road info. Trailhead still easily accessible for any car. I started the hike, made it just over a mile and came across a couple sets of recent bear tracks on the trail. I would guess mom and sub adult cub. Terribly (and irrationally) afraid of bears and as I was alone I turned around at this point. However the first mile and from what I could see going forward was maybe an inch of crusty snow, with some bare spots here and there. I was bare booting. Brought spikes but decided to take my chances leaving snowshoes in car as there was so little snow around.
