Webster Jackson trail was in good condition all the way up to the top of Jackson and nicely packed. Lots of snow on the trees which made for nice scenery. From there took Webster Cliff trail to Webster. This trail has seen much less traffic and seemingly was only broken out by boots. However there were some softer areas so I opted for snowshoes. Unfortunately since it had been broken out by boots the area broken was fairly narrow and made some funky terrain for the snowshoes. Got to Webster just in time for sun-lit views up the southern presidentials all the way to Washington. From here went down the Webster branch, generally uneventful, all packed snow here until it started getting a bit patchy back down towards the bottom of Webster-Jackson. |
