Comments
Comments: Started from Mead base parking area…. Cow cave was very neat and Beede falls was beautiful. Easy road walk on Sandwich notch road to Crawford ridgepole trailhead. Very steep climb with some minor scrambling… we wore trail runners and was fine. Fun hike going over Doublehead & Squam to Percival…. We did take the Mt Doublehead trail for a short bit to the lakes view…. The views going up Squam give you some nice northern views. Took ledge trail down coming off of Percival… then easy sailing to the car. 7.3 mile hike with over 1800ft of total ascent…. Easy enjoyable hike… did see bear prints in the snow after the rock scrambling going up Doublehead.
