Comments
Comments: Rock spikes on in the lot & stayed on until done. Conditions have changed since the Soules report on Friday. Only 1 area of running water, everything else has frozen! Still bony in many spots with lots of ice flows in the center of the trail. Many paths in the trees to avoid the worst spots. The boggy wet area before the final climb has frozen over with lots of uneven ankle turning spots. We also went right & into to blowdown mess. Many skiers today so we went back the way we came to the top. Very windy & cold on the tower so we didn’t linger long. Race to the bottom before darkness, we won! Ice wasn’t as much a problem as we were expecting. Weather Sunday & Tuesday will change conditions. Really snowing Sunday afternoon when we came thru the notch.
