 | Water Crossing Notes: |
The Rocky Branch of the Saco was crossable. We had to take a circuitous route to link rocks that were not submerged, but it wasn't too hard. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The Iso Express has had some love since I was last on it, quite a few blowdowns and branches cut. |

We took the Engine Hill shortcut, and then the Iso express.
We barebooted up to where the Avalanche Brook ski trail comes in. We put on spikes above that because of ice on the rocks. At the Engine Hill turn,
we switched to snowshoes as the snow was knee deep after that, and more in drifts. There were several tracks through the shortcut, we followed some of them and made others of our own.
The trip report link has a map with several tracks I've collected over the years. |
