Comments
Comments: Bushwhacks and trails were very clearly broken out. The snow was loose and didn't want to consolidate, so it was hard to choose between bare boots, spikes, and snowshoes. Ice built up on spikes and snowshoes when they got wet from running water on trail (often). We used snowshoes up Brutus (televators!!), but chose to use spikes on the way down to semi-slide it. The moral for today was that both spikes and showshoes were super valuable. We even got some blue skies at the top! Lovely day overall.
