Terrific afternoon hike after a fun morning at Pats Peak. Trail has around 6-8" of loose powder that people have bare-booted. Not my favorite time of year for trails - I used snowshoes to pack down trail and make the rocks less vexing. Still, hit a few leg-jarring rocks even with the snowshoes but I was able to move faster than I figured I could without them. Bluebird skies and gorgeous views, as usual, from the summit. |
