Comments
Comments: Did Waumbeck in the morning and it went so well that I thought I'd get Hale as well. I made it but it was more trouble than I expected. Zealand Road was a slog as expected. I used snowshoes for most of it even though there's not much snow (4"?), because the traction was better. Hale Brook trail was OK. Used snowshoes there too, but it's a little bony for them. Didn't like all the scraping I heard. It was a little better up high, but not great. Got out after dark but not late enough to enjoy the near full moon. A great day in the woods, even if a bit long
