Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked a half mile south of the trailhead on Rt. 302 at Sawyer’s Rock parking lot. Not plowed but the snow was manageable for a SUV. Later hikers parked along the road right at the trailhead.

Surface Conditions: Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Wet/Slippery Rock, Ice - Breakable Crust

Recommended Equipment: Light Traction

Water Crossing Notes: Water levels were low. Easy to step across on rocks

Trail Maintenance Notes: Well maintained. Clearly marked yellow blazes.

Comments
Comments: The snow was packed down by 2 or more snow shoers who probably hiked the day before. No problem for Hillsound trail crampons. A bit slippery on the steeper sections near the top.
