Comments
Comments: Yesterday's storm brought snowshoe season to the region. Between it, the coating the other day, and last week's storm, there's about a foot of snow down low and two feet in places on the ridge. The usual spot is wind scoured down to minimal depth for a hundred or so feet.

A barebooter did some parasitic postholing down low, but turned around after not too long. Beyond there, there was a decent snowshoe track up to the ridge. Due to active drifting, there were only traces of the tracks from there to the summit. My tracks are probably blown over by now as well.

The much colder than normal "fall" December continues (11 degrees colder than average before today) with a frigid afternoon with temperatures in the 20s and a brisk wind.
