 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Lafayette Place was not plowed at 1130am, or when we returned at 1pm. We parked over by the cabin/93 tunnel. Note that the actual trailhead doesn’t get plowed in the winter. I’ve seen every type of vehicle stuck the over the years from FWD cars to wannabe monster trucks. Save yourself 100 yards of walking at your own peril and always remember to have a shovel in the car. |

 | Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Unpacked Powder, Snow - Drifts |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Bridged.
No tracks across the lake yet, I’d let someone else go first. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail is in good shape, few random leaners but nothing requiring immediate attention. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Jackson stayed home after his morning adventure in Lincoln Woods. Great trail for dogs, but he boycotts because he can’t go to the hut. |

KatieB earned her first golden ticket yesterday, as we broke out the perfect powder post storm. We got 4-6 at the house in Lincoln and there was probably 6-8 on trail. Fluffy, windy, it will be drifty up high. We didn’t expect to be the first ones on trail, and she had to get back for work, so we didn’t have time to go to the hut…just the lake. The wind was whipping pretty good.
The First Lady got the full experience too, complete with watching her beautiful snowshoe track get murdered by 4 people in spikes as we descended…I swear I could hear Taps playing gently in the background haha |
