Comments
Comments: Picked up another inch of powder yesterday. Old Mountain Road had a decent snowshoe track courtesy the cold temperatures. I suspect this will get quite soft later this week, so snowshoes will be a must to prevent postholing into the water underneath (and subsequent solidifying with the temperature plunge Friday night).

Crawford Ridgepole has not seen nearly as much activity and has active snow drifting. Apart from the brief typically scoured section, there's generally 1 to 3 feet of snow on the ridge. Someone parasitically postholing went off trail and trampled some of the vegetation, which causes trail creep. The payback was seeing the deep postholes they suffered through. Snowshoes were absolutely needed for the drifts that took up a good portion of the ridge walk.

Partly sunny late afternoon with temperatures in the upper teens and dropping.
