I was really looking forward to a beautiful snowshoe trench like I had experienced on Sunday in the WTF range. Sadly, some folks decided spikes were ideal footwear today. Makes no sense to me. I'm not even one of those psycho snowshoe nazis either. I'm just a trail runner who wants some packed trails to cruise and it makes it hard when folks don't wear the proper gear when we haven't had a proper thaw/freeze cycle. Hopefully, the few others wearing snowshoes can help buff it out before the footprints become fossils. You could probably get away with bareboots up to EH, but beyond that its basically soft beach sand. Work smarter, not harder you know?! Speaking of the EH whack, it's definitely a bit whacky right now. It will get you there though. Iso express got a bit weird in places too, but again, I'm happy to not have to be breaking trail. Summit was breezy as forecasted. Took my summit shot and buzzed drove my dions all the way back to the lot. Happy to have this one done for December grid 2!
