The trail below 3000' was well packed with some loose powder on top. Higher up, there was occasional drifting with more substantial drifting around the summit of Mt. Waumbek. We wore spikes throughout but snowshoes would have been more efficient, particularly between the peaks. The only postholes along the trail were courtesy of the moose.
Enjoyable hike with Chris and Renee in gorgeous woods with clear long views at the outlooks. |
