Purple/gray wool cap about a mile in on the right |

Well packed trail in a trench most of the way- spikes were helpful and for the last mile or so snowshoes would have been nice. Beautiful evergreen grove was such a treat, especially up on the ridge trail where the snow made strange and beautiful shapes on the branches. Some hanging branches to step under if you’re tall. |
