Mixed conditions this afternoon with the lower third of the trail having pretty consistent snow cover. The middle third was mostly bare and the upper third was back to consistent snow cover. Some ice on the ledges/rocks but was avoidable. I used spikes for the upper third as it is steeper. Could probably be bare booted.
Surprised to see much more snow cover here versus some areas of the Belknaps nearby. |
