Good day in the mountains! Snowshoes all day. Trail could use more snowshoes/packing. Snowshoes were sufficient for traction till the ladders. I did go up the ladders in Snowshoes but they were clunky. On the way down, I switched to spikes for the ladders which were not sufficient. Spikes didnt do anything on this trail in these conditions. Highly recommend full crampons for ladder section only. Only saw 4 other people today! |
