Day of breaking trail, things pretty well packed as a few of us were out there with snowshoes. I would not recommend anything but snowshoes honestly, especially up to north twin since that powder is still loose in places & most of today would have been way more labor intensive bare boot or with spikes, save yourself the hassle & help keep these babies groomed. Coming down twinway was fun glissading, basically skiied down with snowshoes. Should be a solid choice if you planned to hit it tomorrow, I imagine the type of snow it is could easily drift. Gorgeous day out with blue skies. Plan for an effort possibly either starting or ending without daylight. The reward factor of this roughly 14miles is 10/10 when you get all the views. Stay safe out there & happy hiking! 🥾 |
