 | Comments: |
Parked at Bangor St parking lot which is where the new trailhead begins. We started out in spikes and quickly put on snowshoes. We found it easier to maneuver with increased stability and traction. The televators were also a big plus. The slabs were very slippery and icy due to the ice and lack of snow cover so we had to take extra time going up and down. Most hikers were in spikes and a few others wore crampons. There are 15 - 20 blowdowns but you can easily go over or under. The trail is broken out though still boney in some areas. No wind and the sun came out mid day. Beautiful day.
