Comments
Comments: Snowshoes car to car. We did take our shoes off for a hot minute after the road walk due to the trail being fairly boney, but decided to put them back on soon after. My son and I broke trail up to the summit. Lower portion of trail was variable, but once the trail started to get steep there were deep drifts (some thigh deep). We did our best to pack the trail, but between some hip flexor pain and my son being very light it was a fairly shoddy job. Thankfully there were about a dozen hikers about an hour behind us to help pack the trail out which made for a speedy decent. There were a couple of folks in micro spikes that tore up the trail a little one of which was struggling to get up one of the steeper sections. Overall a wonderful day with exceptional weather on the summit (light wind gusts with clear skies).
