Comments
Comments: Trail was in decent shape before the ice storm. Ledges have a mix of exposed rock, ice, and snow that was a little tricky but manageable with good handholds. IMO crampons would not have been very useful given these mixed conditions, and we wore sharp spikes for the steeps then switched back to snowshoes. Rollins was partially packed down but very postholed, especially in the areas with deep snow drifts. We packed it out and later reports said it was smooth going. Dicey's Mill was well packed down and very easy going to finish the day off. Snow was very wet and sticky on all trails as the day warmed up and it was almost spring conditions.
