Comments
Comments: Group of 3 got a leisurely afternoon start. Lonesome Lake had seen some traffic and was pretty hard packed. A set of tracks turned at the Dodge Cutoff and from that point we were in untouched fresh powder, which was surprising. It ended up snowing in the notch most of the day so there was about 4-6 of unconsolidated powder, as opposed to the hard frozen track that was expected post storm. 2 in snowshoes, 1 in spikes. At times icy under the fresh snow. Ladder was snowed in, especially towards the right side, not ideal and one member of our crew took a little spill on the descent. Steps leading up to the tower are the same, careful coming down. Bring the hoods and the hardshells, be ready to duck dive dodge limbs like patches ohoulihan.
