 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The new parking lot wasn't plowed, but there was only an inch of new powder. I was surprised to see the "donation" sign that was there in November gone. The sign now says $10 fee required with a Venmo option. |
|
 | Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Unpacked Powder, Snow - Drifts |
|
 | Recommended Equipment: |
Snowshoes, Light Traction |
|
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
On the way up, the stream crossing, right before the Bald Peak spur, the ice couldn't hold my weight. On the way down it did. With a few more very cold days ahead, it should be frozen over. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Only remember one blowdown that I had to step over. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
I didn't see any. |

 | Comments: |
I used spikes the entire time and left the snowshoes in the truck. Once I got to the ridge, I wish I had my snowshoes with me because the drifts were knee and thigh deep. |
