We used spikes from start to finish on the crunchy well-packed trail. Snowshoes are not needed at this moment, unless you want better traction or televators. Crampons would have been helpful ascending the steep sections, which had some exposed ice (I would have put on mine if I had them!). On the descent, we sat down and slid on some of the steeper sections. Lots of icy trees hanging over the trail. Beautiful day! |
