Comments
Comments: Mt. Crawford, party of 4. About 1" fresh powder atop hardpack and ice. Some areas drifted in with powder. The slabs around the summit were covered in ~2 inches of ice, especially treacherous with the fresh powder hiding some of the icy areas. The wind and the cold were really at it today. Nearly knocked down by some of the gusts. Davis Path beyond Crawford Spur was not broken out (heavy breakable crust snow). From the top of Crawford, we could see the slabs on Resolution were covered with ice, too. Initial plan was Resolution but given the conditions, we were not feeling very resolute.
