Snow bridges worked for me. I tapped areas with my trekking poles for the best route. |

Bare booted until mile 4 or so. That mileage includes the road walk. Trail is still boney in the early stages and running water in some sections higher above is leaving exposed rocks. There were a few deep snow drifts. Water crossings were not too big of a deal. All in all trail is good. Seen one other hiker who was bare booting it. I’m not much of a YouTuber but it was summit number 100 for me so I made a video going over the conditions and gear I wore. Click the link. |
