Comments
Comments: The route had a well-packed base throughout with varying shallow loose snow on top. Spikes worked well but snowshoes would probably be more efficient, particularly on the looser sections. Seven of us bare booted or wore spikes car to car and another three wore snowshoes.
Lovely, chilly hike with Chris and Renee. Woods were stunning, as usual on this route. Seven below and breezy at the start but the protected nature of the FWT made it a good choice for this day. Nice to chat with Kathleen and Jim along the way and, later, Brian and Julie.
