Comments
Comments: Road walk from Seven Dwarves Motel to the North Twin Trailhead. Bottom portion of the trail that runs parallel to the Little River is very nicely set up and only needed microspikes through that section. As soon as you start to climb the snow pack became less stable and required snowshoes up to the top of North Twin. The spur from North Twin to South Twin had high winds today and much of the trail needed to be broken out. Three of us teamed up and broke trail along the corridor. However, on the return trip from South back to North the wind had already filled in our path and I had to rebreak. With more wind anticipated over the next couple of days I would expect to have to break trail between the mountains. Even more cold weather anticipated so please stay warm and safe!
