What a great day. Perfect conditions for snowshoes from Hi Cannon up. Trail is fully broken out and packed with 0.5-2” snow on top. EXCEPT the stairs going down are a bit treacherous descending. I used spikes there and would’ve used crampons if I’d brought them. Otherwise conditions are nicely packed snow and my MSR snowshoes had amazing traction.
I was first on Hi Cannon and I only saw one other person once I got off Lonesome Lake trail. |
