Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes, Light Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The one water crossing on Dicey's Mill was tricky in snowshoes on the ascent, but easy with spikes on the descent. There is a decent layer of new snow on the log, and the rocks are hoppable.

Comments
Comments: 6 of us took Dicey's Mill both ways, so I can't comment on the Blueberry Ledge Trail. Overall, trail conditions were excellent; definitely some of the best I've found ever in the winter, with no postholes and a nice packed down trail the entire way. We wore spikes from the parking lot to the junction with Tom Wiggin, where we switched to snowshoes because there was some drifting down low on Dicey's Mill. 5 of us wore snowshoes all the way to the summit of Whiteface before finally switching back to spikes because snowshoes just weren't really that helpful. 1 of our 6 switched at the junction of Dicey's Mill and Rollins on the way over to Whiteface and was happy with his decision. There are some minor drifts up on the Rollins Trail, but there is more hardpack than there is drifting, and spikes were definitely a better traction choice than snowshoes. The ascent up Passaconaway has some icy sections. There's enough new snow on it and enough trees nearby to make it easily doable in microspikes.
