Trails are each well-compacted all the way up to the summit. Used spikes for later part of road-walk and first few miles of Gale River Tr. Could continue beyond with just using spikes, but until someone invents spikes with televators it was best for snowshoes before getting to the last 1/3 mile of Gale River Tr (~2900 ft). Deep enough snow/compacted enough trail that there were no bony sections to worry about for either spikes or snowshoes. |
