Lower lot was full and upper lot nearly full late this morning. Someone decided to park in front of the No Parking sign at the gate. Upper lot is icy. |

Large chainsaw blowdown about 0.5 mile up. Another about a mile up. A few leaners as well. |

Red Hill Trail has coverage from the trailhead, but is initially a little boney. Microspikes were fine, as the trail is firmly bootpacked. If venturing onto the secondary trails, I would be on snowshoes due to the breakable crust. Still a little less than a foot of snowpack up high.
Partly sunny morning with temperatures around 20F. Didn't see any open water on the lake, at least from the ground. |
