Comments
Comments: This was the first time in a few years that winter reports of the Osceolas weren’t calling for an ice axe so we felt like we had to strike while the iron was hot. We made it all the way to the summit in spikes but I would highly recommend snowshoes for the steep section up East Osceola. I felt significantly safer wearing them on the way down than I did in my spikes on the way up. All in all conditions were good, but extra caution is definitely needed on the steeps.
