Ski lot was a zoo at 11:30 as expected. Had to park much farther than usual from trailhead and it added five minutes of walking-the horror!!! |

Sidewalk conditions to loop intersection. Softer snow last ten minutes to summit but snowshoes unnecessary and you won’t posthole or trash the trail. We left snowshoes at home expecting a highway and big T delivered. Light traction door to door, but could probably bareboot to summit if you like raw dogging it. Some stupid @sshole had a fire on the summit ledge last night or this morning and left a huge mess behind. I cleaned it up while the kids drank hot cocoa. Saw ten other hikers in spikes. Great day for James’ first winter 4K-little guy crushed it! |
