Comments
Comments: In and out hike from hairpin turn on the Kanc via Hancock Notch Trail to Cedar Brook Trail to Hancock Loop trail, up South Hancock across to North Hancock down Hancock Loop trail to Cedar Brook, Hancock Notch Trail, and out to the start. Trail conditions were perfect with a couple inches of new snow on a solid base - no wet areas - no bad ice. Some drifts between South and North Hancock. I wore snowshoes for the entire hike but microspikes would work fine. Smoothed out postholes between the mountains. The luge run up South Hancock had enough grip for MSR snowshoes - televators helped. Snowshoes down North Loop was an adventure.
