Comments
Comments: The Gleason Trail is going to be discontinued, so it was no honeymoon, having countless blowdowns. However, the lower sections below 2200 feet were free of snow and ice.

The Bennett Street Trail, being on the North side of the ridge, had miles of soft, postholing snow. We followed old moose prints most of the way.

No one had been on either trail, so we broke them in. We saw no one for the entire day. The falls at the lower Bennett were spectacular today, and the highlight of the hike.
