Crawford Connector and Crawford Path were loosely packed and supportive. Spikes were sufficient. Webster Cliff Trail to Pierce was drifted in and not obvious. Important to know where youre going. saw tracks going off trail. Crawford Path to Eisenhower showed no tracks. Although, the forecast was for partly sunny skies, we were soaked in. Everything was white, the sky, the trails, the trees. The winds were strong. We decided to make an attempt to reach Eisenhower. We were a group of 5, three with snowshoes. 4 of the 5 had many years of expecience. Navigation was difficult at times, especially in the open spaces. We checked in with each other often and were thankful for the cairns as we climbed the summit cone. We summitted and did our best to pat down the trail. Hard to tell if our tracks will be there tomorrow. |
