 | Comments: |
Avalon Trail is steep and loose snow has been removed by people sliding. We used snowshoes for the heel lifts, and better traction on the climb. Most people were getting by with light traction. I would want full crampons for the descent (we avoided this by adding a 1/2 mile to our trip and descending A-Z trail). Trails are all well packed. Nice views, but the blue skies in the AM turned to overcast skies by dark. |
