Comments
Comments: Gorgeous, practically windless day! Crawford Path is a packed highway that has been further compacted by sledders. A bit icy up on Pierce but just fine for microspikes. Many groups opted to push on to Eisenhower today, and for a good reason given the conditions. Past Pierce the trail becomes narrow with thigh-deep snow off to each side, making it difficult for people to pass each other going in opposite directions. Tight in places because of the trees. Some soft snow on the trail, making things a little slower. A couple icy spots near the Eisenhower summit, but careful steps and poles help.

Webster Cliff was also narrow and deep off to the side, with many visible postholes. Mitzpah Cutoff looked the least traveled - very narrow, churned up in places, wet spots, postholes on the sides. I did it in spikes because I just didn't have the strength for snowshoes, but would've had a much better time in snowshoes.
