Nice day on tightly packed snow- bit crunchy in places- spikes all the way. Some rocks poking through down below. A few patches of a few loose inches here and there but didn’t find it necessary to do snowshoes. Everyone said Eisenhower was a different story but I just went to Pierce. Blown over blue ice at the summit- keep an eye on the cairn to keep the trail up there - rocks are starting to disappear. A nice and tidy hike. Trail gets a bit narrow up past the Mitzpah junction (we went left). |
