	Comments:	Kind of a nasty day. Started with mix of rain and snow on the drive up. Parked a car at Wildcat ski area and Great Gulf. Ski trails were nice and groomed as expected but there was a steady snow fall as we were going up that didn’t let up until probably when we were heading down Wildcat A. This area got probably 3-4 inches of fresh powder. Broke trail in snowshoes across Wildcats and Carters. Going up Carter Dome was a real ass kicker with lots of back sliding and crawling up the steeps. Day started warming up while we were in the Carter Range and the snowshoes were balling up bad. Elected to ditch them as we were going up Middle Carter. Barebooted back to the car but would have been better served switching to spikes. North Carter Trail wasn’t too bad but once it turns into Imp it becomes a real mess. Lots of slush, water, and blue ice. Down lower in elevation we started seeing wet rocks, leaves, and spring conditions with the melted trail turning into an ice highway. Exhausting and wet day with a real mixed bag of conditions. Saw a couple others in snow shoes going over the Carters in the opposite direction so should be a decent track at this point. Wildcats just had our 2 tracks unless anyone came behind us.
