Bring snowshoes! Up Kinsman Ridge trail. After the glade sections, which were tracked up by skis, we missed the left that goes toward the view point and ended up following the ski tracks to the Vista Way ski trail. Hugged the edge of that to the tram lodge. Took the upper part of the loop to the tower. Went past the tower to loop back around. From the White Mountain National Forest sign to the col between Cannon and the sub peak where the view point is was deep untracked snow (thigh high at times) and there was zero visible trail. This section was a real challenge to navigate (thank you Gaia) until we reached the Col and could again see a slight trench of the trail. Three sets of snowshoes up and down but the trail is far from consolidated. |
