Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Water crossings were not an issue.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Two decent-sized blowdowns on Kodak Trail; none on Cross Rivendell Trail. Kodak Trail also has a large blowdown leaning away from the trail but whose upended root mass has taken a chunk out of the trail -- this is about 0.1 miles south of junction with Hexacuba Shelter spur trail. Some sections of the Kodak Trail north of this junction are also heavily eroded.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: There's running water at two crossings on the Kodak Trail and in Jacobs Brook, along Quinttown Road.
Bugs
Bugs: No bugs.

Comments
Comments: Our route was a loop using a road walk of Baker Road south to the old AT corridor to Quinttown Road, the Kodak Trail up to the Mt. Cube summit, and then the Cross Rivendell Trail back down to Baker Road.

Baker Road (unpaved) from the parking area is in good shape with an occasional muddy patch. When the packed road forks left, continue straight on the somewhat overgrown remnants of a logging road -- this is the old section of Baker Road and the old AT corridor (circa 1970) that connects to Quinttown Road. This corridor is quite muddy in parts, but the mud can be avoided. Quinttown Road (also unpaved) is in excellent shape -- almost bone dry. Upon reaching Quinttown Road, turn left (east) on it and after a few minutes of walking and going around two closed gates, one reaches the AT.

We took the AT heading north -- the Kodak Trail -- up Mt. Cube. Up to Eastman Ledges, the trail is almost bone dry. After that, there is an occasional wet/muddy patch but all way to the summit the trail is mostly dry. Ledges are dry all along this trail.

The spur trail to the north summit is wet and muddy in some places and could use some brushing. Great views from here. Ledges are bone dry.

The Cross Rivendell Trail is wet and muddy in a number of places, but the mud can be avoided.
