Snowshoes for us from trailhead to trailhead. Lots of activity on these trails this weekend. We had 2-3 inches of fluffy powder. One set of boot tracks ahead of us summited Galehead and then we saw their tracks headed for Garfield. They were bare booting so not sure if that willl be super helpful for any others wanting to venture that way. Very quiet trails today even with it being a holiday. Evidence of decent traffic to Gale today by fire wardens. Only saw one other human besides my hiking buddy who tagged Galehead and south twin and headed back as that was all she needed for today.
Trails remain in great shape til next snow fall |
