Comments
Comments: Snowshoes throughout but spikes would have been fine for Pasture and Ridge. Loop from upper section of Pasture Trail.

Pasture is well packed. Ridge Trail was less packed but spikes still would have been suitable. Showshoes made for a smooth ride down East Rattlesnake to Pinehurst Rd. As expected, there was little evidence of traffic going up Ramsey/ Undercut.

The ledge scrambles on Ramsey Trail were difficult due to blue ice. It was only about 50 yards of scramble. I found just enough exposed rock to grip with the cleats on my snowshoes but few handholds. It's a short section, but perhaps crampons and an ice axe would have made it safer. I probably took 10 minutes to get through the scramble, being very cautious. Ice flows in the upper ledges were beautiful.
