 | Comments: |
This was one of the sketchiest hikes I've done in a while. The snow from previous storms had melted and refrozen to form sheets of blue ice over virtually the entire trail. A few inches of fresh powder completely covered all of the ice making it impossible to see until you were sliding on it. a combination of microspikes and snowshoes just BARELY got us to the top of the mountain. This was not for the faint of heart. |
