Barebooted to the pond, then spikes. 2-3" of fresh powder atop a firm crunchy base. Went to snowshoes at the start of Brutus, mostly for televators. Much more unconsolidated once up top. Kept the snowshoes on to smooth things out until back to Lincoln Woods. Saw two others. With all wearing snowshoes, a firm smooth trail was left behind. |
