Surface Conditions: Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow - Unpacked Powder, Snow - Drifts

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Large crossing by the cabin is frozen. Some of the smaller streams are still open but easily hopped over. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Distances from parking lot, heading up Ranger Trail: 1. 0.6mi - two dead beech, 8" diameter, waist height 2. 0.75mi - 8" diameter dead leaner likely to fall on trail soon 3. 1.1mi - 12" pine a few inches off ground. Two more leaners just beyond it. 4. 1.5mi - 6" dead hemlock, shin height 5. 2.1mi (just past cabin) - 8" deadfall few inches off ground 6. 2.5mi - 6" dead birch crossing at chest height creating detour 7. 3mi (just before junction) - 8" birch few inches off ground 8. 3.1mi (just past junction) - another birch shin height 9. 3.3mi - 6" deadfall shin height

Comments: Trail in great shape. Lots of folks out without snowshoes but I found them necessary in a few places and comfortable the whole way.
