Some open water at lower elevations; easy step overs |

Trails in great shape; looks like skiers have been using the ski trail this year |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Cody was ecstatic to be in the woods. Trails are great for pups. Running down the ski trail is blissful; lots of wide open space, soft landings, lots of snow to roll around in. Not really enough flowing water in the crossings to satisfy a thirsty pup, though. |

 | Comments: |
Snowshoes for whole hike. Ascended the old path with some ice under a thin layer of snow, but not too bad. Ridge mostly packed. Ascending to the North peak, there were rocks exposed on the uneven trail, but it was ok even for snowshoes. Walk down the ski trail was gradual. Obviously, more snow at higher elevations; looked good for skiing. Limited views. Only saw one other person. Hopefully, new snow will fill in uneven trail around rocks, cover ice and provide for an even better ski trail. |
