 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Plenty of parking at ski area mid-morning. I got in lot 1, close to trailhead. Lots of parking because there weren't too many skiers in this cold. |

Terrific morning. Snowshoes were way to go - I was able to ascend pretty quickly. About half or more of the people I saw were just using spikes - was churning up the trail a LOT on ridge but it doesn't matter too much today with the incoming snow. Started and ended at trailhead temp of -6F according to my car thermometer. Invigorating!!! Gorgeous bluebird skies. Saw some familiar faces!!! Debated descending from the skier outlook but then I saw some skiers and didn't want to cause trouble. If that run (I think it's the Boneyard but I could be wrong) had been clearly closed (as it often is), I would have taken the ski slope down. |
